You have already Retro Room Plus (free) from your photo app? If the answer is no remedy! Developed initially for Android and then converted to run on iPhone, this app has many advantages (and some minor fault, ok), and is completely free.

Initially offered a resolution of 1200 x 1200 pixels, now, recently updated, not only offers the full resolution, but the interesting feature to add photos to the outer edges, further increasing the output format

It is app shooting: the effects and frames can not be applied retrospectively on images of library (as in the case of Hipstamatic, for instance).

We note first of all, the interface, really nice. Yes, we appreciate the app also on the grounds that they are more or less beautiful to see: more often than not the care of the graphics also corresponds to a cure for all aspects that make the application functional.

Five different types of toycamera available, each with its own characteristics and has the ability to shoot in color or black and white.

Each camera has its info screen (viewable using the appropriate pushbutton), explaining the features (including the period in which it is based), and some tips to use as well as a sample shot.

Key features

 

The Barbl,inspired by the East Germany (fantastoricamente born in Leipzig in 1951), creates little saturated images, with dominant colors are neutral, some scratches, square frame of color aged and rounded interior edges, medium contrast. Little Orange Box inspired by the Russian toycamera (evoked time: 1976), create images like cross-processed, with red dominant colors, scratches, square frame with rough edges, sharp contrast. Recommended use: pictures "stolen", people, macro. Photo Size 1695 x1960 output.

 

The Pinhole Pseudo 80's, creates images with low saturation, high contrast, film frame, some scratches. Recommended use: landscapes and still lifes. Photo format output 1536 × 1536.

 

The FudgeCan Canadians 60 years, creating images with little saturation, mediocontrasto, black frame and vignetting. Recommended use: external. Photo format output 1536 × 1536.

 

Of the 5 "cameras" one does not have available the option of shooting in black and white (The Barbl).

Overall, the app is good, the effects are good (some look a bit 'color ranges from proposals Hipstamatic).

From point out, however, some bugs too (often the app fails to start on the first attempt, which penalizes rather impromptu shots!).
